Jason Boisvert

I am a doctoral candidate at the University of Saskatchewan in the Department of Computer Science. My field of study is numerical analysis.  I perform research in numerical methods for the solution of boundary-value differential algebraic equations.  Currently, I am developing a new software package for the solution of these problems.  This software package will contain parallel routines designed to solve problems with a large number of differential and algebraic components.  

I received my Master’s degree at the University of Saskatchewan in Computer Science.  The work performed for my Master’s degree consisted of developing a problem solving environment for the numerical solution of boundary-value ordinary differential equations. The software package allows users to select the numerical routines used to solve a particular problem.  The problem solving environment was also used to compare the performance of several novel implementations of global error estimation methods for boundary-value ordinary differential equations.
