Eddy Essien

I am a Master’s student in Department of Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan. The focus of my research is on efficient algorithms for geotechnical calculations. Presently, I am proposing a framework of algorithms for geotechnical surface manipulation. The framework provides algorithms for surface recreation, and surface-surface boolean operations. My other academic interests include parallel performance computing and scientific visualization with the aid of Computer Algebra Systems. Less formally, I also have interests in programming languages and paradigms, and GPU programming.

I graduated with a Mathematics degree from Concordia University College of Alberta, with a minor in Computing Science. A strong Mathematics background assists with my current performance based work.

For my lighter moments, soccer, basketball, and swimming help me relax. I am also a martial artist with some years in Tae kwon do and currently registered in Shito-Ryu Kara-te.
